Meta Engineering joins Quadrante to create one of the largest engineering companies on the Iberian Peninsula

  • The new group, which aims to become a global benchmark with a significant presence in Europe, the United States, Africa and Latin America, will reach a turnover of more than 100 million euros by 2024 with a workforce of more than 1,000 professionals.

This alliance marks a milestone in the industry, combining and complementing the capabilities of both firms to to form one of the most important engineering groups in the Iberian market. The merger of the two companies, which also includes the renewable energy engineering company Izharia, integrated into Meta Engineering from 2022, reflects the joint desire of both companies to expand their international presence and consolidate their technical capacity to take on large-scale international projects, with a special focus on Europe and the United States. With this integration, the new group will close the financial year 2024 with estimated sales of more than 100 million euros and a workforce of 1,100 employees, and plans to achieve significant growth in the coming years.

Enric Font, current CEO of Meta Engineering, will join the new group as a shareholder and will continue in an executive role. At the same time, part of the Meta Engineering management team will become part of the structure of the new group, ensuring strong governance, integrating the experience and vision of the management of both companies.

The union between Quadrante and Meta not only will double the size of the current groupIt will also enhance their technical competencies and geographical reach. The alliance will allow them to offer their customers an even wider range of high quality services, characterised by proximity and flexibility.

The management teams of both companies will be integrated into a single group.This will provide a more global vision and strengthen the new entity's leadership in strategic markets such as Central Europe, North America and Latin America. This joining of forces positions the new group as an international benchmark in engineering and architecture, with the capacity to tackle projects of great complexity and scale.

In addition, this integration opens up new opportunities for employees of both firms, offering more dynamic professional growth, the possibility of developing international careers and the chance to contribute to infrastructure projects that will drive a more sustainable future.

The final closing of the transaction, which has been advised by Deloitte and Bird&Bird on behalf of the buyers Henko Partners and Quadrante, and by JB Capital, KPMG and Cuatrecasas on behalf of the selling shareholders of Meta Engineering, is expected to take place in October, once the standard conditions precedent for such transactions have been met.
