Quadrante strengthens again in Catalonia with the acquisition of Inprocess

The company backed by Henko Partners makes a new acquisition in the autonomous community after the integration of Meta Engineering two years ago.

Quadrante's new corporate operation in Catalonia. The Portuguese engineering and architecture consulting firm, backed by Spanish private equity manager Henko Partners, has reached an agreement to acquire Barcelona-based simulation and digital process twins firm Inprocess Technology and Consulting Group.

The transaction comes a year and a half after the purchase of the Catalan company Meta Engineering, formerly Audingintraesa, and Izharia in Madrid.

The deal, the amount of which has not been disclosed, is aimed at accelerating Inprocess' growth and extending its global reach in key markets. The integration will be carried out under a stand alone, in other words, there will be no changes in the management structure or in the day-to-day operations of Inprocess. Its CEO, Oriol Millán, will continue to lead the day-to-day business. The company closed 2025 with a turnover of more than 15 million and 165 employees. It has offices in Houston (Texas, USA), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) and Pune (India). Its customer base is concentrated in the energy and hydrocarbon sectors, such as oil and gas production, oil and gas transportation and storage, refining, petrochemicals, chemicals, fertilisers, green hydrogen, among others.

As part of the agreement, the founding shareholders of Inprocess will become shareholders of Quadrante through a reinvestment scheme, ensuring direct alignment with the group's financial and operational objectives.

Quadrante has a turnover of around 125 million euros and a workforce of 1,350 people. The company, founded in 1998 by engineers João Silveira Costa, Nuno País Costa, Nuno Batista Martins and Tiago Miguel Paiva Pais Costa, is present in Portugal, Spain and Romania, as well as in Africa, South America (Chile, Brazil, Colombia, Peru and Panama) and North America (Mexico and the United States). The group operates in the energy, mobility and sustainable cities sectors.
