Lars founded Henko in 2021 together with Íñigo, Ricardo, and Jules, after identifying the opportunity to create a differentiated investment firm focused on supporting small and mid-sized companies in their ambitious growth journeys. As a strategic partner to founders and management teams, Henko aims to provide much more than capital, combining deep sector expertise with extensive experience in buy-and-build strategies and international expansion.

Lars leads the firm and is actively involved across all areas of the business, including deal sourcing, transaction execution, portfolio development, and fundraising. He finds great satisfaction in seeing a solid strategic plan come to life through the capabilities of Henko’s team, the exceptional talent within portfolio companies, and the commitment of their boards.

Before founding Henko, he was a Partner at Sherpa Capital, a Spanish private equity fund. Previously, he also served as a Partner at DPE Deutsche Private Equity in Munich and worked at Morgan Stanley Capital Partners, an international private equity fund. In addition, he co-founded and served as a Director at Flytxt, a technology company. Lars holds a degree in Economics from the London School of Economics (LSE, UK) and a Master’s in Public Administration (MPA) from Harvard University (USA).

Outside of work, he enjoys sports — particularly swimming and cycling — and spending time with his family, especially following the inspiring pursuits of his four daughters.
