Henko raises its second fund and increases the size of its first fund to support fast growing Spanish and Portuguese SMEs

  • Henko Partners successfully completes the €100 million first closing of its €150 million second fund (Henko Capital Partners II, FCRE)
  • In parallel, the firm increases the fund size of its first fund (Henko Capital Partners I, FCR) from €70m to €100m to further support the inorganic growth of its portfolio companies
  • The private equity firm aims to provide financial and operational resources to support Spanish and Portuguese lower middle market companies in industries with long-term growth trends 


Madrid, April 2nd 2024. – Founded in 2021, Henko Partners is a Spanish private equity firm focused on supporting the growth and internationalisation of companies in the lower middle market segment in Spain and Portugal. The firm focuses on partnering with ambitious entrepreneurs and management teams and Henko provides both financial and operational support.

In less than three years, Henko Partners has established itself as a relevant player in the Spanish and Portuguese private equity markets. The firm has successfully invested its €70 million first fund across six platforms including nine add-on acquisitions. In March 2024, Henko secured a €30 million extension of its first fund growing to €100m to continue to support the inorganic growth of its portfolio companies.

Simultaneously, Henko reached a €100 million first closing for its second fund, with a hard cap of €150 million. This second fund will pursue a similar investment strategy as fund I, focusing on companies with EBITDA from €2 to €6 million across four strategic verticals: healthcare, technology, sustainability, and industrial automation. Its objective is to support high growth businesses with strong management teams and international ambitions.
